I found this tag via jessica-agreatread. The tag sounded super interesting to me and I thought that I would give it a shot. Your girl loves answering tags.

The tag was originally created on Booktube. I don't know on what Youtube channel though. If anyone knows where this tag originated... please let me know in the comments down below. I would love to give the person credit.

I am definitely a book snob and I am okay with that.

Adaptation Snob: Do you always read the book before you see the film?
Usually, yes. However, if I don't know it's a book and I find out after the fact... I will always pick up a copy of the book and then read it. I usually end up reading all the movies made from books because in most cases the book is always better.

Format Snob: You can only choose 1 format in which to read books for the rest of your life. Which one do you choose: physical books, eBooks, or audiobooks?
Physical books all the way. I love the way they smell and feel. Nothing could ever replace a physical book.

Ship Snob: Would you date or marry a non-reader?
Yes, I would. Most people I have found aren't readers. Especially not like me. However, if I did find someone that did read I would be very happy.... but I can't be too picky.

Genre Snob: You have to ditch one genre – never to be read again for the rest of your life. Which one do you ditch?
I would ditch anything sci-fi. I don't care for that genre at all.

Uber Genre Snob: You can only choose to read from one genre for the rest of your life. Which genre do you choose?
Anything contemporary. Contemporary is my favorite genre to read by far.

Community Snob: Which genre do you think receives the most snobbery from the bookish community?
I don't know. Most people in the bookish community I have found to be very down to earth people and not snobby at all. Everyone seems pretty chill. I mean we all have our own tastes but I don't see that as being snobby.

Snobbery Recipient: Have you ever been snubbed for something that you have been reading or for reading in general?
I don't think so and if they did... I could care less. I don't really listen to that sort of drama. I have always just done my own thing.

That was a short tag. I also prefer hardcover books over paperbacks. I can be a genre snob for sure. I have always been a mood reader. In fact, I have a hard time finishing books that have been assigned to me for this very reason. Even though books are devoured daily with me for some reason when something is assigned I become super lazy. It's so hard to finish a book if it's assigned.

How are you a book snob? Do we have anything in common? What types of books do you prefer to read? What book genres do you gravitate towards?

xoxo,

  1. I’d also choose physical books. I don’t like e-books. Audiobooks are fine, but sometimes the narrator’s voice gets on my nerves.

    1. Yeah, I just resort to audiobooks when I have a headache and can't read words because my head hurts too much. I suffer from bad migraines.
